I promise I'll be working on my thesis in a while, but it's just so hard in this day and age when capitalists provide you with all kinds of nonsense escapist stuff, like The Sims. 

my own nakahara house

If you don't know The Wallflower anime series or manga, well, it's that amazing anime and manga which I decided to bring to sim life. This is not the old Nakahara house where Sunako and the guys lived, it's Sunako and Kyouhei's house which I made from scratch. Apparently they're now living together.

(disclaimer: I don't own The Wallflower, and they're not yet living alone together in the manga. Except for Chapter 71.)

Of course, this was taken in an old save where kyouhei is still only in level 6 of his chosen career. Ignore that and rest assured that in the next save, he reached his lifetime goal.

Yeah, apparently they have a kid now who I named Chiaki. I know, it's weird that they even got married in the first place. And their girl child is in a sort of girly room (it's not; it just looks that way from afar). It's getting out of character but hey, ever read fan fictions?

They're really rich because a) The Nakahara family is rich and b) motherlode gets you what you want in the Sims except if what you want is a realistic lifestyle. Yes, Chiaki has her own playhouse which you can see from outside in the first picture. It is useful for having Noi's and Kikunoe's children over for the weekends or study dates.

In this dark time of not being able to do fun stuff anymore because of school (and the kind of class you're not even interested in anymore!), The Sims is a HUGE deal. I cling to this escapist shiz because even if I know that I shouldn't in order to get this whole school deal over with, well... I just couldn't. Here's a life I can at least control and speed through. Even if it's a big fat lie E.A. is feeding me, I at least need this illusion of power more than the crap my thesis adviser gives me when he tries to 'tame' my ideas into 'edible' scientific data that my panelists can digest.

To tame the /wrist aura, in other news, another chapter of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is up! Should I be sad that it's the happiest news of the day?
